Buying a home is hard...

But it doesn’t need to be! Having recently gone through the home buying process from start to finish, I created this site to share some of our learnings along the way, many of which were not obvious or fully explained by any of the various people involved in the transaction. We successfully closed on a Craftsman fixer-upper in North Oakland and completing a full remodel which has given me a greater appreciation for what to look for when inspecting an older Craftsman home, as is often the case in East Bay.

The costs involved in buying a home are considerable and despite everyone’s best intentions it is ultimately your money on the line for one of the biggest purchases you might ever make.
